Jaguar TCS Racing in the I-TYPE 6 blazed to the top of the leaderboard with 57 points after a race in the historic Diriyah district of Riyadh. The third round in the 2024 ABB FIA Formula E World Championships saw Nick Cassidy make it two for two with a second podium finish and a win for Jaguar TCS Racing.

Battling the challenging desert conditions on the illuminated track, Nick manoeuvred his way from seventh place using a well-timed ATTACK MODE – after being knocked out of the quarterfinals of the Qualifying Duels by teammate Mitch Evans – to clinch first position, the fastest lap and hoist the winners’ trophy.

Following the victory, Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal James Barclay shared, “That was an edge-of-the-seat race, and I am very pleased we were able to score valuable points for the team today.”

The dream start continues for Nick Cassidy in his first year as part of Jaguar TCS Racing, who added, “My team have been amazing today and this one is for them. I made a slightly wrong choice in qualifying but in the race, I had an amazingly quick car. I’ve never started a season this well so it’s a great feeling.” Nick moved into second place in the 2024 ABB FIA World Championship Driver Standings, while Mitch Evans remains fifth.

Despite the unanticipated setback for teammate Mitch, the thrilling performances from both Kiwis and a strong points haul means that Jaguar TCS Racing is now in the lead of the World Championship Teams’ Standings by 14 points. The team will keep their feet firmly on the ground, knowing they have made a statement for the races ahead on the calendar.

The next stop after a strong opener in Mexico, and an even more impressive showing in Diriyah, is Sao Paulo for round 4. Jaguar TCS Racing will look to create more distance between them and the rest of the chasing pack.
